CSA - Community Submission Assessment
CSA is FPSB's experimental community self-moderation initiative aimed at reducing administration burden and giving users the ability to participate in the moderation of submissions.
CSA is FPSB's experimental community self-moderation initiative aimed at reducing administration burden and giving users the ability to participate in the moderation of submissions. Any registered user can either approve or disapprove a submission. When approving, the user acknowledges that the submission has no grounds for disapproval. When disapproving, the user feels that the submission breaks one or more fundamental rules.

When approving or disapproving, a user must provide written feedback to the author. Constructive feedback, in our view, is the most important part of the artistic process and for this reason we moderate unconstructive criticism heavily.

If the author finds your assessment unfair or a mistake, they can appeal it. If your assessment is appealed you will be notified. You can revise your assessment or choose to refuse the appeal. If you refuse the appeal, or the author rejects your revised assessment, an admin will then resolve the dispute.

Skill Classes
FPSB is a user-driven customization community where anybody can submit content.
FPSB is a user-driven customization community where anybody can submit content. For this reason the quality of our content can vary substantially. Skill Classes were introduced to better organise our large database of skins so it's easier for users to find quality content.

What class a skin enters is deteremined by CSA. When at least 5 votes are recorded, the CSA Class Handler will awaken and move the skin from the Undefined Class to another class based on the CSA result. As more users vote, the skin may enter and exit classes if the changing CSA results qualify it for different classes.

Class Requirements
Expert/Riveting/Instrumental Class
90-100% Approval AND 9.0-10/10

Intermediate/Interesting/Helpful Class
75-89% Approval AND 7.5-8.9/10

Beginner/Confusing/Boring Class
50-74% Approval OR 5.0-7.4/10

Trash
0-49% Approval OR 0.0-4.9/10

What is the Undefined Class?
The undefined class contains skins (typically new skins) that don't have more than 5 votes and hence have not been moved to a class by the CSA Class Handler.

Class Handler Example
Below is an example of how the Class Handler will deal with an Approval Rating that fluctuates as more users vote.

Approved - 9/10 by User 1
   Approval 100% - Average Rating is 9/10
Skin class undefined, Awaiting at least 5 votes...

Approved - 8/10 by User 2
Approval 100% - Average Rating drops to 8.5/10
Skin class undefined, Awaiting at least 5 votes...

Approved - 6/10 by User 3
Approval 100% - Average Rating drops to 7.6/10
Skin class undefined, Awaiting at least 5 votes...

Approved - 10/10 by User 4
Approval 100% - Average Rating rises to 8.3/10
Skin class undefined, Awaiting at least 5 votes...

Approved - 9/10 by User 5
Approval 100% - Average Rating rises to 8.4/10
5 Votes recorded, Skin moves to Intermediate Class

Approved - 3/10 by User 6
Approval 100% - Average Rating drops to 7.5/10
Skin remains in Intermediate Class (JUST!)

Approved - 4/10 by User 7
Approval 100% - Average Rating drops to 7/10
   Skin drops to Beginner Class

Approved - 10/10 by User 8
Approval 100% - Average Rating rises to 7.4/10
   Skin remains in Beginner Class

Approved - 10/10 by User 9
Approval 100% - Average Rating rises to 7.7/10
   Skin returns to Intermediate Class

I'm An Expert - Why is my stuff in lower classes?
We understand an Expert's work being labelled as "Intermediate" or "Beginner" might be offensive. This could happen from time to time and our advice to Experts is don't take the class names too seriously and ALWAYS exert your right to appeal low assessments!
