The model looks awesome; it's perfect. The polycount is good too, it doesn't need to be lower. About the skin, I would prefer an older-styled one - still you don't need to skin it, SA12 could do that too if you don't have enough time.

Alright, make a longer/thinner shot shell/shotgun shell. If you finish it before the weekend, you can directly send it over to SA12 as he needs it for animating.

As a Winchester is originally a rifle and no shotgun, I am not sure if a shotgun shell and a rifle shell are the same. I think that rifle shells are longer/thinner - at least the one Harry modeled is this way; I made a render for you:

Alright, I think that I found a (smaller) job for you. I would need a Winchester rifle shell (not the .44 bullet but a real rifle shell) as I can't find one. If you can't model that good, I could maybe get Harry's model which would already be UVmapped.
