Use 30 fps in the project and test renders, and when you're in virtual dub you have to set it to 60 fps in the Video -> Frames Per Second thingy.

But I skipped using Virtual Dub by making them straight into huffyuv avis with the source recorder.
The speed of the clips is messed somehow, I have no clue how to make the speed same as original gameplay was.

Sorry for double post but I have question.
I made the clips in css with 60fps and used startmovie avi and used Huffyuv. Now I placed the clips in vegas and used 60fps in the project and test renders. Why it seems to go faster than the original game was? It isn`t double fast but something like 1.1 of original speed. I don`t get it how this happened.

I made a few tests with 60fps and I`m using it, it`s so smooth. HDD space wouldn`t have been enough for bigger framerate D:

Thanks for the info!

I'd recomend POV demos whenever possible. They show much more accurate aiming and don't have that lag effect SourceTV demos have.

As for capturing, go as high as you can. I posted a thread about capturing at 1000FPS. Maybe overkill, but it looks damn nice and is pretty simple to do. If you want to go the extra mile, it really helps make your video that much better.

But SourceTV demos do not show recoil and many details that you see in POV demos.

I just find the fact that there's no recoil shown on srctv demos good. Besides, in SourceTV demos the weapon animations show up perfect, when in ineyes demos they tend to glitch a bit.
